Sheldon Thomas is a youth worker and motivational speaker who directs T.A.G, a charity and mentoring program for gang members. He also launched Gangsline, the UK’s first confidential phone line for gang members, their families and the victims of gang violence.
As a former gang member, Sheldon Thomas witnessed firsthand the hardcore and vicious cycle of gang culture. After meeting Bernie Grant (one of Britain’s first black MP’s) he visited America with him in 1988. There he met Jesse Jackson and under the impact of their mentorship, these experiences sparked a transformation in his life which eventually led to him giving his heart to Christ.
